OK I'll be the guy who says it.....Dougherty's sucks. Sorry Josh, no offence to the Hooligans, but we're just not feeling it. The parking is horrible and it just doesn't have that comfortable hang feeling. Plus there's something to be said about a bartender who can remember your name and what you drink after only meeting you once.

Tomorrow's Schedule:
Start at the Garage at 7pm, WE ARE LEAVING AT 8PM, NO MORE OF THIS 8:30 BULLSHIT. Ride up to the Highland Tavern (3400 Navajo St, Denver, CO 80211).
I AM LEAVING the Highland Tavern AT 9PM, riding to Illegal Petes (Ste 101, 1530 16th, Denver, CO 80202) for FOOD! Petes closes at 10pm so I'll be there 'till then. If some people want to ride to Billys for 99 cent lobster tacos thats great, you can still finish the ride and meet me at Petes OR go home like a lame ass.
I'll throw in a quick out of the way ride and end back at the Garage by about 10:30 or 11:00pm and then I'll go home like a lame ass.

DAMNIT! ANOTHER FUEL PUMP FAILURE?!?!?!?!?! It's making me think really hard about this Z125 thing. I've got a line on a Raven '09 for dealer cost... still on the show room floor.

I'm guessing so. Won't know for sure 'till I'm in there but with all the failures of the pumps I'm pretty sure it's that. Don't let it deter you Tom, you can always get the warranty and extend it. I don't beLIEve in warranties so I haven't had one and this is the first real issue that bike has had in almost 5k miles. But just so you know fuel pumps and drive belts are both are backorder EVERYWHERE 'till november. You can get aftermarket belts but not a aftermarket pump as it's mounted in the gas tank.

There are plenty of places for us to park that meet that requirement, imho. The problem he's had in the past is that all the motorcycle folks used to park on the sidewalk on Sunday and block the path which pissed off the neighbors who in turn called the cops. The noise from all those bikes didn't help the situation. He understands that scooters can park on the sidewalk, are a lot quieter than Harleys, and that Wed. night is much different from Sun. afternoon. He has offered to extend us happy hour drink prices 'til 9:00. We agreed to try it out next week if y'all are still interested.

Michelle, I have a 2001 (pre-Piaggio) Scarabeo 150 and it’s been a great scoot. I’ve made the voyage from Grand Junction to Denver twice on this 150cc (Rotax engine) without disappointment (MHM 7 and 8). The 16” wheels make for a very smooth comfortable ride. The 500ie is a big step from a buddy 125, but it’s a trusted Italian brand and a great bike...

I would consider a 150cc, but the problem for me is that it just may be a stepping stone to the 500cc anyways, and I can't see the point in spending 3000-4000 now only to spend 6000 later. If I had done what Colin said and bought the 150 in the first place I probably wouldn't have a speed issue. The fact is if I want to go on the i25 or C470 I need a 250 or higher. Again I would have gone with the Vespa 300, but that scoot is to wide for me, as I am only 5'1".

A couple of thoughts: we could pair up a couple of places, meet at one for food and drinks and then stop at second for a night cap on the way home. Such as Ale House and Brooklyn's one week then Bull and Bush and Choppers another week. Regarding bowling, what about a RG bowling night on a Saturday night to check out Wheatridge lanes, could be fun? I am always game for Crash, love their burgers.
So back to tonight my vote would be to do one of the pairings as mentioned above or go to Crash for the usual. I am in no matter where we go.

For tonight I say we meet at crash at 7 and have a beer. Head for Ale house at 730/745 and have a beer. Then we head to Brooklin's at 815/830 and have a beer.
I would really like to have a regular bar to meet up at on Wednesday night, like the highland tavern used to be. Even if we don't stay there all night it is good to have a place where the bartender knows everyones name, like Brian from the tavern did. That way if something like last week happens and only one person wants to go out, there is a bar that they are a regular at.

don't know, never been there. some people at work were talking about it and said the drinks were awesome and food was good. the guy who created the menu at Crash45 went there to be their chef.

I've been to Choppers a couple times. It's kind of a cookie cutter sports bar. Never saw a patio or a parking lot, had to smoke outside the front door. Also, it's in the middle of Cherry Creek. Menu is typical uninspired bar food - wings, burgers, nachos, etc.
